Inquire.com To Reduce 40 Jobs, Outlines Novel Scheme: Report

SAN FRANCISCO - Ask.com, an unit of IAC/InterActiveCorp , will cut 40 jobs and adopt a new strategy aimed at boosting the loyalty of its core customers, the Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday on its Web site. The job cuts, that account for roughly 8% of the company’s existing work force, will be company-wide and are designed to eliminate redundancies, said Jim Safkar, Ask’s chief executive.
