Halle Berry’s Ex Eric Benet: ‘I’m Happy for Her’
Eric Benet is happy for his ex-wife, new mother Halle Berry.
“From the pictures, she looks great. I have not spoken to her — it’s been a few months now — but I’m happy for her,” he told USmagazine.com.
Benet, 41, split with Berry, also 41, in 2004, after four months of marriage. The singer, who is focusing on his upcoming album “Love & Life,” told US that he has not yet seen Berry’s new daughter Nahla, but “how could the baby not look good?”
The actress and boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, 32, a model, welcomed their daughter in March. The couple met in 2005 at a Versace photo shoot, and Berry told Hello magazine that “I have someone who is putting a spark in my eye. I have never been in better physical and emotional shape, and I’m happy in my personal life — what a novel idea!”
The Oscar-winning actress, known for roles in “X-Men” and “Monster’s Ball,” is set to star in the upcoming films “Tulia,” with Billy Bob Thornton, and “Frankie and Alice.”
