U.S. attorney general visits Guantanamo Bay
WASHINGTON (CNN) U.S. Attorney General Michael Mukasey arrived Wednesday for his first look at the controversial military prison complex at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
U.S. Attorney General Michael Mukasey was set to meet with officials involved in military commission proceedings.
Mukasey’s visit was expected to last about five hours.

(CNN) Two hours of fighting between government and Ethiopian troops and Islamic militants in Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu, left 81 civilians dead and more than 100 wounded, a local human rights group reported Sunday.

Ancient temple used by Incas discovered
LIMA, Peru (AP) Archaeologists have discovered the ruins of an ancient temple, roadway and irrigation systems at a famed fortress overlooking the Inca capital of Cuzco, according to officials involved with the dig.
The site had religious as well as military aims, including 11 rooms thought to have held mummies and idols.
